Russian Brands in Hong Kong's student opinion

     Jason is a student from the Bapist University, Hong Kong. He studies European Studies - German Stream.

     "When I think about Russian products for me "vodka" it's the first what is coming to my mind. I have totally no idea of any Russian brands. Actually, in Hong Kong we don't have any trade relations with Russia. So we haven't any food export from Russia. That is why it's very hard for people from Hong Kong who know some Russian brands. Although Hong Kong is a truly nternational city we don't see any Russian brands on the streets.

     We know Louis Vuitton and Gucci, for example, because they're extremly popular all around the world. I guess the reason why the products from Russia are not so popular in Hong Kong is the nature of the products, which Russia exports to the world. For instance, Russia exports oil, but nobody know what is the brand of this oil.

     And other reason is that Hong Kong buys goods from other Europian countries, for example, from Japan. And nobody wants to have a risk, to import products from Russia, because this products are not so well-known and that is why nobody wants to buy them." - Jason says.
